Meet Sophia

Sophia launched her legal career with a prestigious seven-year clerkship at the Louisiana Supreme Court, where she assisted her Justice with over 70 published opinions. From there, she was recruited as an in-house counsel for Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center, where she provided strategic legal guidance for three years, mostly focusing on employment law and contracts.

She then moved into the private sector, as Employment Law Counsel, Chief Compliance Officer and Corporate Counsel to successive operating and maintenance contractors to the Department of Energy’s Strategic Petroleum Reserve (SPR). For eleven years, Sophia provided counsel and advice to SPR contactors, Fluor Federal Petroleum Services, DM Petroleum and DynMcDermott,

Building on her professional focus areas, Sophia later joined the legal department at LOOP LLC (the Louisiana Offshore Oil Port). For nearly seven years, she contributed her legal expertise to the operations and governance of one of the nation's critical energy assets.

Because her passion lies in supporting small businesses, Sophia transitioned into private practice and now provides tailored legal counsel to the unique needs of her small business clients.
